I’m Dave Radparvar, a designer and AI-native builder. Most of what I make comes back to one question: how can design and technology help us flourish?

Journaling has been my go-to practice for decades, the way I make sense of life’s highs and lows. Today I’m building Reflection — an AI journaling companion that doesn’t just record your life but helps you understand it, connecting the dots across everything you’ve written. Apple featured it as a Great New App, and KTLA’s morning show named it one of the best journaling apps of 2023.

Before that, I co-founded Holstee with my brother, Mike, and dear friend, Fabian. Holstee is best known for the Holstee Manifesto — our company values that turned into a viral sensation. Our products have reached millions of people and have been covered by The Washington Post, Inc., WNYC, CNBC and Tim Ferriss’s podcast.

Lately AI sits at the center of how I work, from shipping Reflection to fun side projects. I share what I learn in short videos on YouTube and in an occasional letter on Substack. I’m not very active on social, but I’m always happy to connect on LinkedIn.

I live in Amsterdam with my wife, Jessica, and our two kids. Off the clock, I’m an amateur skateboarder and an audiobook junkie.
